Weeknotes 3.
- Victoria Line - I take the Victoria line one stop between Finsbury Park and Highbury and Islington as part of my commute. When I wait on the hazy platform for a train I sometimes marvel at how incredible it is that there’s a train every 100 seconds during peak (and TFL has just doubled how long this peak time lasts for). However, some nice infographics from the FT reminded me how unhealthy it can be so I’ve started taking the less-frequent & slower Great Northern service a bit more. I couldn’t find any air-quality data for it, but I’m hoping it’s not as bad since more of it’s above ground.
- Toy Story 4 - I watched The Real Fake Cameras Of Toy Story 4 before the watching film itself which maybe was a mistake - my brain couldn’t stop thinking about the composition of the shots rather than letting go and being immersed in the movie.
- Tactical Votes - Since it’s a remain-leaning constituency with a Conservative MP, Hitchin & Harpenden is somewhere that has featured a bit in the news and on tactical voting sites. The Green Party is standing aside in favour of the Lib Dems so my not-Tory vote has one less party to choose from.
- Word of the week - I’m still doing crosswords from the New York Times and I learnt a new word that was in today’s - Moonbow (a lunar rainbow). Maybe I should use
prefers-color-scheme
to show a moonbow on polychromatic arc.
